A research agenda for the Caribbean parts of the kingdom of the Netherlands

In 2019, NWO conducted an online survey, which was to be used as a basis for a Caribbean Research Agenda. In the meantime, however, a lot has happened, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic and all its consequences. We therefore invite you to submit any additions and changes that are directly or indirectly related to COVID-19 via this survey. You can propose new topics and questions and/or respond to a summary of the previous response, classified according to main themes.

In the course of 2022, the results of this survey, together with the input from 2019, will be developed into a Caribbean Research Agenda in the form of a dialogue with stakeholders (researchers, institutions, the public). We aim to publish the research agenda by the end of 2022. Glenn Thodé, a member of the NWO Caribbean Research Programme Committee, will lead this process. The whole project is supported by the NWO office.

What is your question to the science community?
Join the discussion about which questions researchers should answer for the Caribbean in the coming years.

Survey

Are you from and/or a resident of one of the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Eustatius, St. Maarten or Saba or are you an employee of an organization located on one of the six Caribbean islands of the Kingdom? If so, please complete this survey.

Why this survey?

Researchers are curious. They like to solve issues. We need your help in determining what issues are most current in the Caribbean or which problems need a solution first.
